Standard Care Suggestions to preserve the beauty of your fabrics:
1. Wash separately Hot water wash (first wash must be hot to remove starch)
2. Do not use bleach
3. Line Dry or Machine Dry
4. Do not dry clean
5. Warm iron
6.100 % Cotton Average Shrinkage: warp -9.5%, weft -0.7%
Shweshwe prints are traditionally coated in starch to preserve them for long sea voyages. The prewash stiffness and starch smell will disappear after washing. When doing your prewash, you may want to pink the edges of your fabric to avoid fraying.
